Host neurophilosopher Andrea Hiott interviews founder and investor Jenna Nicholas, author of The Enlightened Bottom Line, about integrating purpose, spirituality, and investing rather than treating them as opposites. Nicholas describes formative experiences from ages 11–14 in a Switzerland program on values, speaking at Commonwealth Day at Westminster Abbey, being influenced by her mother and grandmother, and later studying at Stanford, moving toward social entrepreneurship, and working on socially responsible investing, including in China. She discusses impact experiences using symbolic objects to bridge divides, a “HEAL” framework (Hope, Empathy, Abundance, Legacy), stewardship and seven-generations thinking, and money as a tool that gains value in circulation. Hiott closes with a T.S. Eliot Four Quartets passage on recovering meaning over time.
